A very cool ride, can hardly hear the compressor kicking on. Perfect for the bedroom .... 12x14. The sound is less than a box fan. I leave it running 24 / 7 and surprisingly no effect on the energy bill a lot, seems to be really effective. I had to tilt the device to adjust after the initial installation due to a sloshing sound from the fan on the back. This was because the fan sloshing water. The unit should be nice and level. The buttons on the front are easy to clean, and the remote in the same way with its flat design. The filter is clean and with no effort. The device is not a breath of fresh air / circulating switch some of the bigger models. Large amounts of fluid, it pulls out of the room, I think it's just circulating. After a few days without rain in a small room at night, you can get away with a dry throat and irritated sinuses of low humidity in the room 66 of 66 people found this review helpful. Exceeded my expectations cherryblue Before you buy this Frigidaire, who had bought two portable air conditioners: the Sunpentown 7000BTU 9000BTU Danby e. These two were totally incapable of bringing 12x14 quarter by more than 3-4 degrees, even after running all night. He blew cold air, but for some reason was not the room cooler. One night was even hotter in bed with the air conditioner running at full speed, which was out when we wake up in the morning! I did not want a window unit, because I work at home and wanted to be able to roll the air conditioning back and forth between the bedroom and my office. In the midst of a heat wave, I got desperate and installed this Frigidaire 6000BTU in the room so I could get some sleep. I found that cold room at about 72 degrees (100 + outside and moist during a heat wave more) in about 90 minutes I was so surprised how this works far better than others, that I immediately bought another for the office. The total expenditure for these two panels was far greater than fifty dollars more than buying a laptop. The installation was a bit "harder with window units Frigidaire vinyl windows, because I had to cut two layers of wood to anchor CA, so you do not have the same screw vinyl (which would void the warranty). This principle applies to all windows. However, it is slightly longer installation time, definitely worth it because Frigidaire: - It is much cheaper - it's much quieter - cools the room quickly enough when the other is not cool at all - is effective, which means it is cheaper than - and as a bonuses, offers the city where I live a rebate for Energy Star appliances, I was a bit excited on the installation of this unit with vinyl windows, but there are lots of good tutorials out there if you put Google to work, and at the end was much easier than I thought the total no-brainer. . . This unit is fantastic and a great deal. 56 of 59 people found this review helpful. Warning: The dimensions of the Amazon is incorrect. It is 14 inches high by ghosts of the Great Faulkner This unit is 14.7 inches tall, not 12.5 as stated. If you have a standard window, will not be a problem, but can be a problem for smaller windows (ie, basement, bathroom). I bought another drive for that reason, I can not comment on this unit, apart from size 12.5-inch If you have a 6000 BTU unit, Amazon has the Frigidaire FAA064P7A to about the same price. I bought it and was well on my window and I am very happy. All 56 reviews ....
